Hi everybody! My name is Zebedee (Zeb for short) my partner Nixie and I are Minpins; we have lived with our humans for over ten years now. I have one or two medical and dietary issues (it’s an age thing you know!). It’s not normally a problem for me unless my people want to go away without us then we need to find somebody that we can trust and that cares for us as much as our people do, so it was a great relief to both Nixie and myself when our humans got friendly with Caroline who was working at our local vets and who informed our people that she was a pet minder. This was great as we had the best of both worlds, we and our humans did not like the idea of us going into kennels and we needed to have a Human who could be trusted to pile love and care onto us at least as much as our human owners do (or possibly more)! As I mentioned before, I have special dietary needs, and due to eye problems have to have drops several times a day and other medications for an internal problem, it was essential that we found a Human that was able to cope with administrating all the medications, not to mention feeding us and walking us at the correct times like our own humans do. When we first went to stay with “Aunty” Caroline we were a bit nervous especially Nixie (she is nervy anyway jumps at her own shadow) but she soon made us at home and introduced us to her two beagle’s Jack and Lucy..... Wow they are great, so friendly, welcoming and laid back; we are the best of pals now. We have been to stay with her several times now and really look forward to our next visit. Our people are happy too because they get pictures and updates on what we are up to via What’s App and our humans say that we get a “really professional service” but I’m not sure what that means! If your humans are thinking of sending you to “Aunty” Caroline, then we are sure that you will love her as much as we do, and perhaps we may meet you there sometime! Caroline and her hubby looked after my 2 chocolate labs Cooper and Nancy in March/April whilst we went on holiday. I had been let down by a previous dog sitter (with only a few weeks before our holiday) and contacted Caroline after seeing her recommended on Facebook. I am now very happy the pervious dog sitter let us down as without it I would not have had Caroline looking after my two babies. From the outset Caroline had fab communication and was very friendly, responding very promptly to my initial enquiry about dog boarding. Even at short notice she was able to accommodating my dog boarding request, we all quickly met up and my 2 doggies met her 2 lovely beagles Lucy and Jack and they all got on fab from the start. I felt very relaxed and at ease as soon as we met Caroline and knew the doggies would have a fab stay. Caroline was great and very flexible with us dropping and picking the doggies up. She was happy to administer medication for Nancy who has epilepsy and again I felt at such ease having her look after them. Caroline has a fab knowledge base on doggies and her experience only added to us feeling relaxed and happy. She was not fazed by possibility of any accidents and treated our 2 like they were her own, lots of cuddles and affection. We got regular updates whilst we were away with the doggies settling in immediately. Lots of walks and playtime cooper and Nancy really enjoyed themselves probably having a better holiday than us (and our holiday was fab). I cannot recommend Caroline enough, I will use her again and again and already have some dates for the doggies to go and stay. We have had our doggies stay with other people before Caroline but Caroline (and her hubby Chris) are by far the best dog sitter we have met and will continue to use them for dog boarding and other ventures that may arise. Super happy with her service and our doggies have made dog buddies for life :) xxx

Caroline looked after my 13 month old beagle for the weekend at really short notice when I was struggling to find somewhere for him! She sent me videos and updates over the weekend and I could see he was having an amazing time playing with Caroline's own 2 beagles and other dogs in her care. I felt and could feel roody was very welcomed as soon as we entered her home .. She just has a natural way with animals you can see that straight away . It made me feel at ease and able to have a better time away knowing that he was in such good care. I am so glad to know I now have Caroline there for when I go away as I would hate to send him anywhere else now after being so pleased with her care! Highly recommended x

With Caroline I left my Yorkshire terrier to be taken care of from the 25th till the 28th of February this year. I could have not asked for a better person to take care of my dog. With a daily update on what he was doing (whether he went for walks eating playing or resting). I was so in peace. I would definitely recommend Caroline to anyone who has a pet and is going on a trip/holiday to take care of, could not ask for better.

I needed a dog sitter for my young Shih Tzu, Dylan, over night while away at a family wedding. Caroline is an administrator at the vets that I use and booked her to look after him while I was away and what a good choice I made. She welcomed us to her home and looked well composed with no less than 4 dogs in the house - 2 of her own and 2 boarders, including Dylan. She treated him as her own even letting him sleep in her room at night as Dylan doesn't particularly like being alone. The dogs were settled and happy in her care and I would not hesitate to use her services again. Caroline offers a personal service which is much better than kennels and one I thoroughly recommend. If your looking to send your dog to a home from home environment.....then look no further. Caroline has looked after snugs several times, and each and every time he has entered into her house extremely happy. Caroline has a warm and happy home and alongside her own two dogs snugs lives at her home very happily! I have no hesitation in telling all my friends about her dog sitting services. I hope her business goes from strength to strength. I certainly will carry on using Caroline, and if snugs could talk would agree!

CAROLINE CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FROM A SCHNAUZER GROUP I AM PART OF AND SHE DIDNT DISAPPOINT. WE WENT TO MEET HER BEFORE OUR HOLIDAYS AND WAS INSTANTLY PUT AT EASE. WE HAD NEVER LEFT HER BEFORE ONLY WITH FAMILY SO TO KNOW SHE WAS BEING LEFT IN A LOVING HOME MADE IT EASY FOR US TO LEAVE HER (ALBEIT WITH A FEW SHED TEARS FROM US). CAROLINE KEPT US UP TO DATE WITH REGULAR PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF HER AND HER NEW FRIENDS. SINCE HER STAY WITH CAROLINE SHE HAS LEARNED TO PLAY ONE ON ONE WITH OTHER DOGS INSTEAD OF RUNNING ROUND JUST PLAYING CHASE AND I CANT THANK HER ENOUGH FOR THAT. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY. SHE WAS A LIFESAVER WHEN I GAVE UP ALL HOPE OF FINDING SOMEONE WHO WOULD LOVE HER LIKE WE DO AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER FOR YOUR FURBABIES. TONI AND MEG X

We checked our Pomeranian Mitzy into the Hound Hotel in late May / early June whilst we went away on a family holiday. Caroline did a great job of taking care of her, she kept us up to date, our minds at ease and I would definitely recommend Caroline to anyone who would like their dogs to be well cared for by someone who truly loves them.

Bingley, our very lively and hyperactive cockerpoo, absolutely loved staying with Caroline, who put us at ease straight away with her obvious love of dogs. We had piece of mind knowing he was being well looked after, and he came home worn out from playing, a first in the four months that we've had him.

I first met Caroline when she was working at the vets, always so friendly and straight away her love for dogs was obvious. She always greeted us with a smile and she always made a fuss of my pup Prego. I finally found out that Caroline did dog sitting after overhearing her telling someone in the reception when I attended for a routine check up. I didn't want to leave him in kennels so this was ideal. I contacted Caroline when I had booked to take my nieces away for two weeks, we arranged to meet to make sure all the dogs got on. Nothing was too much trouble for Caroline, she came and met me with Chris her husband and her two lovely pups and they all got on really well. So I booked in for two weeks, any dog lover will appreciate that my pup is my life so I was apprehensive to leave him but Caroline made it so easy, I knew she would treat him like her own and he was in safe hands. While on holiday she sent regular "pupdates" with pictures of what they had all been up to he had even been to a bbq and looked like he was having a great time! I would never ever take my pup anywhere else now, Caroline has become a friend and I cant thank her enough for letting us have the freedom of going on holiday without having to worry. I would trust her every time to look after my precious boy. She takes him on lovely long walks and treats him like he is her own dog.

This was the first time Lexie has stayed with you and it was a fantastic service that you provided. I was unsure about leaving her anywhere, especially as it was the first time; however, I knew that she was happy and safe in your very homely environment and in the company of other dogs. It was lovely to see regular pictures of what she was getting up to; this just reassured me that she was being well looked after. I am so grateful and appreciative of the service you have provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to others. Thank you!

Home from home! Skye is a 14 week old Goldador, and we adore her. So finding someone we could trust to look after her, was imperative. From the moment we met Caroline, her love and commitment to dogs was clear to see. Skye took to her straight away, as did we. Caroline spent time to get to know us, and was completely lead by us, in every aspect,of Skye's care, she strives to uphold your routine and will adhere to your methods of training etc. From my observation, every dog is treated as an individual. Leaving our beloved dog for the first time, was quite hard, however Caroline quickly put us at ease, sending pup dates regularly. Skye will be returning in August, and we can go away with total ease, knowing that she will be smothered with love.

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Ellie, has just been on her holidays to Caroline's Hound Hotel - never mind Hound Hotel, it was home-from-home for her. This was the first time she hes been left, as she always comes with us on holiday & we could not have wished for a better place for her. She has some health issues, but with knowing Caroline from the vets, we had no qualms about leaving her. Caroline kept us up-dated with text messages to let us know how she was settling in, not that we need have worried - she was fine. We will certainly take Ellie back to Caroline in future & have no hesitation to recommend Caroline to anyone.

Sending Theo to Caroline was a pleasure. Amongst the usual packing and rushing around to get to the airport, was the stress of leaving Theo somewhere he hasn't stayed before, which filled me with anxiety. That was until I met Caroline who looked after Theo whilst I was away. It seems that looking after dogs isn't just a job but her passion and her welcoming nature made me forget the stress which comes with holidays! I would recommend J&L to anyone who wants their furbaby to be looked after in a loving yet exciting environment!

I couldn’t think of anyone I trust more than Caroline & her hubby Chris to look after my princess ‘ruby’ the boxer. Caroline goes out of her way to keep Ruby’s routine as close as possible to what she is used to at home. Ruby always looks disappointed when I come to collect her because she has so much fun playing with her friends Jack & Lucie (Caroline’s 2 beagles), she actually comes home in a mood! After working next Caroline for 3 years at the vets I can honestly say I have never met a more dog crazy person, which is saying something working at a vets! No matter what breed, she loves them all. I know Caroline will go to every length to make her visitors stay as fun & comfortable as she can, it also doesn’t hurt that Ruby & Chris have a mutual love for each other too. Because of her experience & knowledge of dogs I know that Ruby is always in safe hands which means I can go on holiday or nights out and relax.

We put our 10year old boxer Kyia in Caroline's care for 2weeks while we went on holiday. Caroline kept us updated nearly everyday on how she was, uploaded pictures of her for us to see what she had been doing and was clearly looking after her. I would definitely recommend anyone wanting to put there dog in care to use Caroline as she does a great job at looking after all the dogs she takes care of just as she would her own. She is truly a natural at what she does,such a caring person to look after anyone's dog.

Me and Alison would both like to say thank you to Caroline and Chris for looking after Winston. The reason why we picked J&L Hound Hotel we wanted something that would be home from home and I knew Caroline would look after Winston like we would. He has really enjoyed it an will be using your services again.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your continued help and support. What you have done for me and my Larry is amazing. As you know I love my Larry to death but I never trusted him and don't get me wrong I'm still not 100% but we've come absolute miles from where we were without your help. Walking my dog is now a pleasure and not something I dread so you have taught me to relax and walking him is enjoyable now. I've got the whistle on order and we've practised the sitting before throwing the ball. We had a bit of a sticky situation with a dog who was on lead who was temperamental, amazingly I stayed calm and got Larry's attention with the ball just before he went hairing off to say hello in his loud beagle way. Larry came straight back and decided to play with me instead , this might seem minor to most people but this is big steps for us. We really are incredibly lucky to have you as our friend I personally think ur a dog whisperer ha ha. Can't wait for our next outing x
